Talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian are scheduled for October 23.

Axar.az reports that this was announced by Yuri Ushakov, assistant to the Russian president. He noted that while the meeting will take place, a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement between Russia and Iran will not be signed during the BRICS summit.

Ushakov stated, "For this, a separate visit by the Iranian president to Moscow will be necessary. A decision has been made not to rush into signing such an important document. The specific date for this visit is expected to be agreed upon soon. Most likely, the event will be planned before the New Year, and in any case, the parties do not intend to postpone it."
