The protests that started after Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu dismissed Defense Minister Yoav Gallant have expanded.

Axar.az reports that demonstrators have set fires on the Ayalon Highway in Tel Aviv and are obstructing traffic on the roads.

Protesters have also gathered outside Netanyahu's residence.

Israeli TV Channel 12 reports that clashes have occurred between the protesters and the police, as well as with drivers stuck on the blocked roads.

It is worth noting that Netanyahu recently dismissed Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and appointed Foreign Minister Israel Katz as his replacement. The position of Foreign Minister has been offered to Minister without Portfolio Gideon Sa'ar.

The opposition has protested the dismissal of the defense minister in a country at war, leading to the ongoing demonstrations.
