Lilian Darius, the ambassador of Moldova in Moscow, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

Axar.az reports that this was stated in the information of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

"The ambassador was strongly protested against the unfriendly discriminatory actions of the official Chisinau against the Russian observers as part of the monitoring mission of the OSCE/ODIHR in the presidential elections held in Moldova", - it was stated in the information.

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that Moldovan authorities unjustifiably refused the accreditation of five international observers from the Russian Federation before the first round of elections and the constitutional referendum on Moldova's accession to the European Union. Later, before the second round on November 3, three Russian members of the OSCE/ODIHR mission at the Chisinau airport were not allowed into the republic, although they were accredited by the Central Election Commission of Moldova.

It was stated that such actions are a gross violation of international obligations by Chisinau, especially the Copenhagen SBS Document.
