The "Yukhari Lars" international crossing from Georgia to Russia is closed for all types of vehicles.

Axar.az reports that the customs attaché of the Embassy of Armenia in the Russian Federation informed about this.

"There is a high risk of avalanches in the Gudauri-Kobi section of the international highway Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars, so it is prohibited for all types of vehicles to pass through this section," it was said.

It should be noted that the road passing through the Upper Lars checkpoint is currently the only land route connecting Armenia with Russia (from the territory of Georgia).
