Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić intends to discuss the issue of signing a new gas agreement with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by A. Vučić during a government meeting.

"I will have to talk to Putin about sanctions against NIS (Serbia Oil Industry) and the gas agreement. Whether by phone or another way... but I must discuss this with him," he said.

Earlier, he mentioned that the U.S. decision to impose sanctions on NIS starting January 1, 2025, would not affect Belgrade's refusal to join anti-Russia restrictions.
