An unknown individual has claimed to have placed a bomb under the car of Andrey Kartapolov, the chairman of the Defense Committee of the Russian State Duma.

Axar.az reports that this was revealed by the "Baza" Telegram channel.

"According to sources, the unknown individual called emergency services and stated that they had been hired to blow up Kartapolov's car. The caller claimed to have placed a bomb under the vehicle," the report says.

It is noted that the deputy's car, which is parked on Ruzheyna Street in Moscow, is currently being inspected by experts, and Russian National Guard and police officers are at the scene.
