The name of the "Khomeini" mosque built by Iran in the capital of Syria, Damascus, has been changed.

Axar.az informs that this information was reported by Arabic-language media.

It is reported that the mosque has been renamed "Sayyida Aisha" and all Iranian attributes have been removed.

It is also stated that Iran had been using the mosque as a center for political-ideological propaganda.
