Turkiye will assist Syria in establishing governing institutions and drafting a constitution. Consultations have already begun with representatives of Syria’s new governing bodies, including their leader Abu Muhammad al-Jolani.

Axar.az reports that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made this statement.

"A new situation has emerged in Syria. Assad currently being in Russia indicates the significance of the ongoing developments. Our brothers and sisters in Syria will make decisions about their future. We will strive to assist them in forming a government structure and share our expertise with them. One of the most critical steps in restoring the state is drafting the constitution. In this regard, we have already established connections with representatives of the new Syrian administration, led by al-Jolani," Erdogan said.
