Uzbekistan parliament member Odiljon Tojiyev has criticized Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov's statements regarding the situation in the republic.

Axar.az informs that Uzbek media reported this information.

"I strongly condemn Kadyrov's interference in Uzbekistan's internal affairs, as well as his threats or pressure on Uzbek government officials. Such actions can negatively affect relations between two friendly states and harm the friendship between the two peoples," he stated.

Tojiyev called on the Russian authorities to legally assess the threats made by the Chechen leader.

It should be noted that Ramzan Kadyrov had commented on reports suggesting that the daughter and son-in-law of President Mirziyoyev might have ambitions for power, stating, "Some are trying to defeat the good leader in Uzbekistan and break the system." Kadyrov warned that such scenarios reminded him of western-backed color revolutions that often begin with small conflicts. He urged Uzbekistan's president to make a statement to dispel the rumors.
