James O'Brien, the assistant of the US Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, visited the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the US and expressed his condolences regarding the accident of the Azerbaijan Airlines plane in Aktau.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the United States.

It should be noted that on December 25, the AZAL plane carrying out the Baku-Grozny flight was shot down by Russian air defense systems in the sky of Grozny and was seriously damaged.
