As reported, on December 28, the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, called the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.

Axar.az reports that during the phone conversation, Vladimir Putin expressed his apologies regarding the tragic incident on December 25, involving an Azerbaijan Airlines passenger plane operating on the Baku-Grozny route. The plane was subjected to external interference of a physical-technical nature within Russian airspace, leading to the tragic event. Putin conveyed his deepest and most sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives in the crash and wished a swift recovery to those injured.

It should be noted that during today's phone conversation, Putin apologized to Ilham Aliyev for the incident.
