Speaking at the Shevchenko Prize presentation ceremony, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky asked for forgiveness for coming to the event without a suit.

Axar.az reports that a video about this was posted on the social network account of the head of state's office.

"Once again, I want to express my gratitude to all Ukrainian creators," he said.

Then, with a smile, he joked, "Excuse me, I'm not in a suit."

After that, applause broke out in the hall.

It should be noted that the remark about Zelensky not being in a suit was made during an argument that occurred during a meeting with Donald Trump at the White House on February 28.
