Armenia has remained silent for almost five months regarding the transfer of the body of Vera Varashakovna, an Armenian woman who passed away in Khankandi.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the Deputy Head of the State Security Service, General-Lieutenant Sharafat Hasanov, during the presentation of the Assessment Repоrt on the Search for Missing Persons in the Republic of Azerbaijan, prepared by the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP).

"Vera Varashakovna Agasyan, born in 1954, passed away on October 20 of last year at her residence in Khankendi due to illness. Despite the International Red Cross Committee facilitating the notification of the Armenian side and her children, the necessary documentation for the handover of the body, and the matter being directly brought to the attention of the Armenian delegation during a meeting at the border without the involvement of intermediaries in February of this year, the other side has shown no response for nearly five months regarding the handover of the body," he said.
