Turkiye detains 536 in ISIS crackdown across 57 cities

In the past 12 days, 536 people have been detained across 57 cities in Turkiye as part of the "Gürz-34" operation against ISIS.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Turkiye's Minister of Internal Affairs, Ali Yerlikaya.

The Minister stated that those detained were involved in activities within the terrorist organization, provided financial support to ISIS, and had connections with conflict zones.

During the operation, investigations have been launched by the prosecutor’s office against the detainees on charges of being members of a terrorist organization, aiding the organization, providing financial support, and spreading propaganda for the terrorist group through social media.
