Zourabichvili joins New Year protest in Georgia

The former president of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili, joined thousands of protesters who decided to celebrate the New Year in front of the country's parliament.

Axar.az reports that protesters gathered in front of the parliament building at 22:00 local time.

Zourabichvili joined them at midnight.

The action took place peacefully.

It should be noted that S. Zourabichvili's term of office expired on December 29. She was replaced in this post by Mikhail Kavelashvili.
