The former president of Estonia, Arnold Ruutel, has died.

Axar.az reports that the Estonian press has published information about this.

Arnold Ruutel died on the evening of December 31 at the age of 97.

It was reported that the former president was brought to the hospital in a serious condition, but died there.

Arnold Ruutel served as the President of Estonia from 2001-2006.
