Saudi Ambassador summoned over executions

The ambassador of Saudi Arabia in Tehran was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Axar.az reports that the "Mehr" agency has published information about this.

It was reported that the ambassador sharply protested the execution of 6 Iranians, and the inconsistency of this action with the general trend of judicial cooperation was brought to the attention of the opposition.

It was noted that 6 Iranians who were imprisoned in Saudi Arabia on charges of drug trafficking were arrested a few years ago and sentenced to death. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran made an effort to provide consular services to them and reduce their sentences. Despite this, their death sentences were executed without prior notification to the embassy.
