Turkiye develops 2,000 km range missile

Turkiye is developing ballistic missiles capable of reaching a range of 2,000 kilometers.

Axar.az reports that this was announced by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during a speech at the Cabinet meeting.

Erdogan also stated that the Polat Kumbaz project is ongoing and the "SIPER Block-1" system has been included in the country's armament:

"We have decided to strengthen our stockpile of missiles with ranges exceeding 800 kilometers and accelerate the development of missiles capable of reaching a range of 2,000 kilometers."

It should be noted that Turkiye's longest-range missile until now, the "Tayfun," had a range of 561 km.
