Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office has confirmed that the first prisoners from the Gaza Strip will be released on January 19 as planned.

Axar.az informs that "Times of Israel" published information about this.

According to the agreement reached between Hamas and the Israeli side, Hamas must release three prisoners on Sunday. In the initial phase of the agreement, the group committed to release a total of 33 prisoners.

It should be noted that the reconciliation agreement reached between Hamas and Israel will enter into force after it is approved by the Israeli military-political cabinet and the cabinet of ministers.
