A meeting has commenced between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.

Axar.az reports this information was shared by the "Azad Iran" Telegram channel.

According to the report, during the meeting, President Vladimir Putin stated that signing a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement is one of the main objectives of Pezeshkian and his delegation’s visit to Moscow.

"We will sign the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement. We have been working on this document for a long time. I am very pleased that we have completed it. I am confident this agreement will positively impact our trade and economic relations," Putin said.

Russia and Iran have signed a strategic partnership agreement against the backdrop of increasing pressure from the West.

Kazim Jalali, Iran's ambassador to Moscow, said this.

According to him, the document covers all areas of bilateral cooperation.
