Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan discussed the prospects of expanding the mutual consulate, as well as Russia's presence in Zangezur, a strategically important region of Armenia.

Axar.az reports that Sergey Lavrov said these words in his statement to the media after the meeting with Mirzoyan.

He said that this is in the interests of the parties.

At the same time, the situation related to the Russian language in Armenia was discussed, and mutual interest was shown in re-holding the days of Armenian culture in the Russian Federation.
