Herzi Halevi resigns as Israeli Army Chief

The Chief of General Staff of the Israeli Army, Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi, has submitted his resignation.

Axar.az informs that TASS reported on this.

"Today I informed Israel Defense Minister Israel Katz that I accept responsibility for the failure of the Israel Defense Forces on October 7th, and at a time when the Israel Defense Forces have made significant gains and are in the process of implementing an agreement to release our hostages in the Gaza Strip on March 6th. I ask you to allow me to leave my post in 2025," Halevi's statement reads.
