Erdogan and Hamas leaders discussed Gaza ceasefire

As reported earlier, members of the Hamas political leadership met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara.

Axar.az reports that Hamas released a statement on its Telegram channel regarding the meeting.

“A delegation consisting of Hamas leadership members, headed by Shura Council Chairman Mohammed Derwish, met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara on Wednesday. The two sides discussed the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and the exchange of hostages for Palestinian prisoners, which was brokered by Egypt and Qatar," the statement reads.

Hamas claims that during the meeting, Erdogan promised that Ankara would continue to defend the rights of Palestine at all levels.
