Axar.az reports that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in an interview with journalist Sandra Maischberger.

"I am ready to do everything for peace in Ukraine. Of course Russia wants to get rid of me. Maybe not physically any longer, like they did at the beginning of the war but politically. And that’s absolutely understandable as I’m a very uncomfortable person, uncomfortable for Putin. If Ukraine joins the EU and NATO tomorrow, I will no longer be needed. But until that happens, I will continue to defend my country," Zelensky stated.
