A terrorist attack has been foiled at one of the Moscow metro stations.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB).

It was stated that Russian security services also prevented a terrorist attack at a synagogue located in the Moscow region:

"A terrorist preparing attacks at the Moscow metro and the synagogue in the Moscow region has been neutralized. The criminal showed armed resistance and was killed in return fire. After the attacks, he planned to go to Afghanistan," the FSB report stated.

The agency also noted that the individual planning the terrorist attacks was a Russian citizen originally from one of the Central Asian countries.
