Russia perceives relations with the West as a systemic conflict and is preparing for a major war with NATO.
Axar.az reports that this was stated in a report by the German Federal Intelligence Service (BND).
The report says that the Kremlin is ready to use force to achieve its goals and may be fully prepared for a large-scale conventional war by the 30th.
“Despite the presence of Russian troops in Ukraine, the Russian Air Force and Navy are in a combat readiness state. If the war in Ukraine ends, Russian army units can be quickly deployed to the borders with the Baltic states,” the report said.
The Lithuanian special service (VSD) said that Moscow is not yet in a position to attack the entire alliance:
“However, it can test NATO by conducting a limited military operation against one or several member states to find out how seriously NATO will take its obligations.”
