Armenia has officially begun its path to membership in the European Union.

Axar.az reports that the relevant law was signed by the country's President Vahan Khachatryan.

According to the information, the law was proposed by a public organization based on 60 thousand signatures collected from citizens.

“We submitted this draft law so that Armenia could express its political will towards the European Union. This process is an irreversible path. The people are in favor of it,” said Artak Zeynalyan, authorized representative of the “Euroreferendum” initiative group.
