Somalia approves Starlink service

Somali authorities have officially allowed the use of the Starlink satellite internet service in the country.

Axar.az reports that the National Communications Agency of Somalia published this information.

It was reported that the Starlink company, founded by American entrepreneur Elon Musk, has received a license to operate in the country. An official ceremony was held in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, in this regard. Government representatives and representatives of the Starlink company attended the event.

Somali officials hope that through satellite internet, the unequal distribution of digital technologies in the country will be eliminated, and the internet will become more accessible to all regions of the country.
