The explosion at Iran's Shahid Rajai port may have been caused by sodium perchlorate, which is used in solid rocket fuel.

Axar.az informs that the New York Times reported this, citing a source with ties to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

No information was provided about how the explosion occurred.

It should be noted that 14 people were killed and 1,139 were injured in the explosion at the Shahid Rajai port in the Iranian city of Bandar Abbas.
