The US government has prepared new sanctions on Russia in the banking and energy sectors to pressure Moscow to resolve the war in Ukraine.

Axar.az reports, citing sources.

“US officials have finalized new economic sanctions, including in the banking and energy sectors, to increase pressure on Moscow to support President Donald Trump’s efforts to end the war in Ukraine,” the article says.

It is noted that the targets of the sanctions are Russia’s state energy giant, Gazprom, and large enterprises related to natural resources and the banking sector.
