Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has rejected Russian President Vladimir Putin's proposal for a three-day ceasefire on May 9th, Victory Day.

Zelensky also noted that Ukraine cannot guarantee the safety of world leaders who will come to Moscow for the May 9th parade.

It should be noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin declared a ceasefire on the 80th anniversary of the Victory. It was stated that, in accordance with Putin's decision, the Russian Federation declares a ceasefire from 00:00 on May 8th to 00:00 on May 11th.

It was noted that the Russian Federation is ready for constructive interaction with international partners regarding the situation around Ukraine.

"Russia believes that the Ukrainian side should adhere to the ceasefire regime by Victory Day. The Russian Armed Forces will respond adequately and effectively in the event of a violation of the ceasefire regime by Ukraine on the 80th anniversary of the Victory," the Kremlin said in a statement.
