On May 2, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Founder and Head of IDEA Public Union, Leyla Aliyeva, and Head of Baku Media Center, Arzu Aliyeva, visited the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic with their family members.
Axar.az reports that during the visit, they became acquainted with Nakhchivan's rich historical and cultural heritage, unique architectural monuments, social and medical rehabilitation institutions, and natural beauties.
The visit began with laying a bouquet in front of the monument to the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, in Nakhchivan. Then, they visited the Heydar Aliyev Museum and got acquainted with the rich exhibits reflecting the life path, political heritage, and statehood activities of the great personality.
Then, they visited the Momina Khatun Mausoleum and the Nakhchivan Khan Palace, which are among the architectural gems of Nakhchivan, and viewed the exhibits of the open-air museum located in the “Ajami” pavilion, and got acquainted with the rich examples of material and cultural heritage from the khanate period.
As part of the program, Leyla Aliyeva, Arzu Aliyeva, and family members visited the Nakhchivan Children's Rehabilitation Center, which operates for children with disabilities in Nakhchivan. They got acquainted with various departments of the center and were interested in the medical rehabilitation and services provided to children.
Leyla Aliyeva donated various equipment for foot and hand rehabilitation, including "Robotic" rehabilitation gloves, as well as myostimulation and infrared therapy devices, to the Children's Rehabilitation Center.
At the end of the day, a presentation ceremony of the feature film "Taghiyev: Oil" was held at the Heydar Aliyev Palace in Nakhchivan, organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
It should be noted that the film "Taghiyev: Oil", produced by the Baku Media Center, is the first part of the film "Taghiyev", dedicated to the life story of the great philanthropist Haji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev.
