Turkiye will not open its airspace for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's plane to visit Azerbaijan.
Axar.az reports that the Center for Combating Disinformation under the Communications Department of the Turkish Presidential Administration has released a statement.
"There is no agreement on opening Turkish airspace for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's visit to Azerbaijan on May 8. Turkiye has closed its airspace to Israeli planes," the statement said.
The center added that the decision to close the sky was made in connection with Israel's policy regarding the Gaza Strip. At the same time, Turkiye will continue its support for Palestine.
It should be noted that a few days ago, information was spread that Turkiye had allowed B. Netanyahu's plane to pass through its airspace during his expected visit to Azerbaijan this month.
Today, the Turkish Foreign Ministry stated that there had been no appeal on the issue.
