Crimea is ready to participate in peace talks with Ukraine if necessary.

Axar.az reports that Vladimir Konstantinov, the head of the region's State Council, told TASS.

"We are ready to participate in the talks. After the 2014 referendum, many delegations came to us, familiarized themselves with the documents, and saw materials confirming the legitimate return of our peninsula to Russia. They were surprised by how accurately we implemented international law and the difference between what they heard in their countries and the real situation in Crimea. We are ready for everything that is in the country's interest. If participation in the talks becomes necessary, we are ready," he said.
