Pakistani army destroys airstrip in Bhakkar and airbases in Jammu and Kashmir.

Axar.az reports that the Pakistani military has reportedly destroyed the airstrip in Bhakkar, Punjab, as well as airbases in the Akhnur region of Jammu and Kashmir, according to the army's public relations department.

This action follows a series of missile strikes launched by India on Pakistani airbases during the night of May 10. In response to these strikes, the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has announced the initiation of a large-scale military operation, named "Banyan ul-Marsus" ("Wall Covered with Lead").

Details of the operation are still unfolding, but the Pakistani military's countermeasures are seen as a direct response to India’s aggression.
