Iran launched approximately 200 ballistic missiles at Israel in multiple waves since last night, and while most were intercepted by air defense systems, around 25% were not.
Axar.az informs that this was reported by the Times of Israel, citing military sources.
According to the army, about 25% — fewer than 50 missiles — were not intercepted according to protocol, causing them to fall in open areas. However, the attacks did not damage critical infrastructure.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that a small number of missiles bypassed air defense and struck residential areas in central Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan, and Rishon LeZion, resulting in casualties and destruction.
According to the latest information, 4 Israelis were killed, and approximately 80 were injured in the missile strikes.
Military leadership also noted that all military bases, including air bases, continue to operate normally and have not suffered any damage to their operational capacity.
