A special aviation unit aircraft of Russia carried out a routine personnel transport flight from St. Petersburg to New York.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

She said that the Il-96 aircraft transported new staff members to the U.S. and brought back those returning from a work trip.

“This is a routine flight that takes place several times a year,” Zakharova noted.
