US President Donald Trump has acknowledged the possibility of sending missiles for American Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine.

Axar.az reports that he said this while answering questions from journalists at the White House.

Trump was asked whether he was considering the possibility of sending Patriot missiles to Ukraine and whether a final decision had already been made on this issue. "I can (send missiles - ed.)," the head of state replied.

He also spoke about the timing of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

"We think we will achieve a ceasefire (in Gaza - ed.) within the next week," Trump said in response to the question.
