U.S. President Donald Trump has decided to withdraw his country from UNESCO, stating that the organization supports initiatives that do not align with American interests.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Anna Kelly, Deputy Press Secretary of the White House.

“President Trump has decided to withdraw the U.S. from UNESCO, which supports divisive cultural and social elements that are completely contrary to the common-sense policies Americans voted for in November,” she said.
