Scottish hockey player Gary Kelly tragically passed away while staying at a hotel.

Axar.az reports that the 19-year-old athlete died after falling from the hotel balcony.

Although emergency services were called to the scene, doctors were unable to save him. Law enforcement officials confirmed that Kelly died from the fall.

According to sources, Kelly’s fellow countryman Evan Thomson also died under similar circumstances two weeks earlier. Facing criticism over safety issues, the hotel management has canceled all entertainment events.

It is noted that Kelly played for the "Dundee Rockets," "Aberdeen," and "Dundee Stars" teams in the Scottish National League. Last season, he collected 17 points (10 goals and 7 assists) in 13 games.
