German Chancellor urges Gaza ceasefire

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a telephone conversation.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by German government official Stefan Cornelius.

“The Chancellor expressed her serious concern about the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza. She called on Prime Minister Netanyahu to do everything possible to achieve an immediate ceasefire. She also called on him to provide the starving civilian population of Gaza with urgently needed humanitarian aid,” Cornelius said.
