The ongoing forest fire in the Orhaneli district of Bursa province, Turkiye, has intensified due to strong winds.

Axar.az reports, citing Turkish media, that despite land and air intervention, it was not possible to extinguish the fire.

Due to the spread of the fire, residents of the Dutluca, Ilicaksu, Chamoghlu, and Chakmak neighborhoods of Harmancık district were evacuated.

In addition, the thick smoke from the fire limited visibility on the roads, and traffic was stopped on the Orhaneli-Harmancık highway.
