Erdogan: Over 3,000 forest fires extinguished

3,062 forest fires that have broken out in the country since the beginning of the summer season have been completely extinguished.

Axar.az reports that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this while speaking about the latest situation regarding forest fires.

"We are currently fully prepared with 27 aircraft, 105 helicopters, nearly 6,000 land vehicles, 25,000 forestry workers, and 132,000 volunteers," Erdogan said.

The President added that all relevant agencies, including the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, continue their activities without interruption under the coordination of the Emergency Situations Directorate (AFAD).
