For months, Ukrainian forces have prevented Russia from advancing into the strategically important city of Pokrovsk, killing thousands of Russian soldiers using kamikaze drones. However, in recent weeks, the situation has changed: Russian forces have breached the defenses and entered the city for the first time.
Axar.az informs that this was reported by Reuters.
It was noted that Russian military casualties remain high. Serhiy Filimonov, commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' "Da Vinci Wolves" battalion, stated that drones are what every soldier fears the most:
“Poorly trained Russian soldiers, including convicts recruited from prisons, have been thrown into battle with minimal preparation.”
Despite the losses, Russia continues to advance:
“In June, Russia captured more than 556 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory, with over a quarter of that in the direction of Pokrovsk.”
