Russian fuel prices hit peak after drone strikes

Fuel prices in Russia have risen to their highest levels after Ukraine launched new drone strikes on Russian oil refineries.

Axar.az informs that the Moscow Times reported this.

The publication, citing data from the St. Petersburg Stock Exchange, writes that between February 9 and 13, the average wholesale price of AI-92 gasoline increased by 6.9% to 62,431 rubles per ton. 95-grade gasoline rose by 5.8% to 63,545 rubles per ton over the past week.

“The price increase was the sharpest since July last year,” the report noted.

According to the results of today's auctions, the price of 95-grade gasoline continued to rise. Stock exchange quotes for this brand reached a new two-month high of 63,787 rubles per ton.

The publication cites strikes by Ukrainian drones on Russian oil refineries as the main reason for the rise in gasoline prices.
