Number of those travelling to Georgia in the first half of 2016 increased 12.9% to 2,636,313 people, the Head of the Georgian National Tourism Administration Giorgi Chogovadze said July 4.
During the reporting period, number of those travelling to the country as tourist rose 18.1% to 1,011,680 people.
Most of travellers in January – June were from Azerbaijan (+18.1%). Turkey ranked at second (+4%), Armenia at third (+1.4%), Russia at fourth (+15.6), Ukraine at fifth (+26.3%).
