Transmission capacity of the South Caucasus pipeline increased

During the three quarters of 2022, the average daily transmission capacity of the South Caucasus pipeline for export was 56.1 million cubic meters.

Axar.az reports that BP has released information about this.

In the same period last year, this indicator was 46.8 million cubic meters. Thus, the daily average transmission capacity of the South Caucasus pipeline increased by 19.8 percent.

During the reporting period, operating costs of the South Caucasus pipeline were approximately $49 million, and capital expenditures were approximately $4 million.

It should be noted that the South Caucasus pipeline was put into operation at the end of 2006 and delivers Shah Deniz gas to Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey, while the CIS began delivering commercial gas volumes to Turkey in June 2018, and to Europe in December 2020.
