90% of Armenian Brandy was found hazardous

Almost 90% of Armenian brandy sold in Russian stores is hazardous to health. Approximately half of the products tested were found to contain spirits unrelated to grapes.

Axar.az reports that this information is from a joint report by the "Anticounterfeit" International Association and the Brandy Producers Union.

The findings were based on analyses of 200 products from 20 brands processed in Armenia. It was determined that half of these products used substances unsuitable for alcoholic beverage production, and 177 brands did not adhere to technical standards.

In response, the Anti-Fraud Association has requested the Prosecutor General's Office to strengthen control over the import of alcoholic products from Armenia and to limit their circulation.
