A representative from the US Treasury Department sent to former USSR countries has convinced bankers to tighten sanctions against Russians. Following Kyrgyz banks that stopped transactions in rubles through the fast payment system, Kazakhstani bankers have also started to act.

According to the report, "HalykBank," RBK, "Freedom Bank," and "Eurasia Bank" have stopped money transfers through the "Zolotaya Korona" payment system due to "technical reasons."
"Citibank" has warned its customers that it will stop handling ruble accounts. The bank stated that companies must close their ruble accounts by September 24 and also intends to halt currency conversion to rubles.
Additionally, "CenterCredit Bank" will stop dollar and euro transfers to Russia starting in October.
One of the country's largest banks, "Kaspi," has stated it will comply with sanctions against Russia.
