Axar.az informs this was reported by the Ministry of Health.

To date, cases of smallpox have been reported in many countries around the world. The first case of the virus was also confirmed in neighboring Georgia yesterday.

It should be noted that monkeypox is a very rare zoonotic viral disease, ie the disease is transmitted from humans to animals. It can enter the human body through damaged skin, respiratory tract, eyes, nose, and mucous membranes of the mouth. The disease can be transmitted from person to person only through prolonged and close contact. The main symptoms of the disease are unusual purulent rashes that start on the face and spread throughout the body in a short time. The patient or those in contact with him are not considered contagious until the clinical signs of the disease have developed.
